Job Summary

Provide professional nursing care to a group of patients in the Emergency Department (ED) using the nursing process.
Perform patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and modify plans based on continuous evaluation.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
Ensure patient and staff safety by identifying and addressing safety hazards.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families.
Support professional development of peers through constructive feedback.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois.
Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients.
Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications

BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) degree.
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred.

Additional Information

This role requires adherence to unit-specific procedures and standards related to Emergency Department nursing.
Emphasis on patient and staff safety, professional communication, and continuous learning.
