Job Summary
- Provide professional nursing care to a group of patients in the Emergency Department (ED) using the nursing process.
- Perform patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and modify plans based on continuous evaluation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
- Ensure patient and staff safety by identifying and addressing safety hazards.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families.
- Support professional development of peers through constructive feedback.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois.
- Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
- Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients.
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) degree.
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred.
