Description

Neurophysiology Technologist I

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: Approximately 13 weeks


Job Summary

Under direct supervision, assists in performing various neurophysiology procedures to aid in diagnosing and treating nerve and brain disorders.


Responsibilities

  • Record and identify neurophysiology data in different settings.
  • After supervised orientation, obtain patient history, attach electrodes, and operate neurophysiology equipment.
  • Observe studies, analyze wave graphs, document disorders and artifacts, and adjust equipment settings as needed.
  • Prepare and care for patients of all ages before and after neurophysiology studies.
  • Adhere to departmental guidelines and exercise judgment during patient care.
  • Participate in educational and departmental meetings.
  • Learn new skills under supervision, including work in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.
  • Maintain equipment and report repairs.
  • Keep workspaces and equipment clean.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Schedule

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
  • 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Four 10-hour shifts per week (40 hours total)
  • Wednesday off unless covering on-call, monitoring, or holiday shifts

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an EEG Technologist, with experience within the last year.
  • Experience as a Polysomnographer is preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
