Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Technologist (2-5 Years Experience) - Contract

Location

New York, NY

Job Type

Contract position
Approximately 13 weeks in length
Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Hours per week: 34.5 (7 hours per day)

Job Description

Perform or assist in ultrasound examinations
Provide technical assistance to Radiologists
Prepare and examine patients according to departmental procedures
Operate, adjust, clean, and maintain ultrasound equipment, including making minor adjustments
Ensure adequate supplies are available
Capture images onto PACS and transfer to physicians' workstations
Assist in orientation and mentoring of new Ultrasound personnel
Handle scheduling and telephone inquiries as needed
Follow safety precautions to protect patients and personnel

Required Qualifications

Ultrasound Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
ARRT certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
