Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - CVOR

Location

Detroit, Michigan

Contract Length

13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care.
Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and patient/family teaching.
Communicate pertinent patient and family information effectively to the healthcare team.
Participate in identifying and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals.

Work Schedule

Shift options: 6am-2:30pm, 6am-4:30pm, or 6am-6:30pm.
Scheduling options include five 8-hour shifts, four 10-hour shifts, or three 12-hour shifts, all starting at 6am.
Block schedule with on-call requirement: 48 hours of call per six-week schedule.
Must be available for on-call duty one weekend per month.
Typical workweek: 40 hours.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Michigan.
CVOR experience within the last year, with a minimum of 1 year of CVOR experience.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Operating Room (OR) experience.
Cardiac scrub experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Skills

Clinical knowledge and analytical ability to develop effective nursing care plans.
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
Effective communication skills with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
