Cardiovascular Invasive Radiologic Technologist
Location
- Peoria, Illinois
Schedule
- Day shift
- 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Summary
- Assists cardiologists during invasive and diagnostic/interventional cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiologic procedures.
- Supports patient care during procedures, including hemodynamic monitoring, equipment setup, sterile technique, and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Cardiovascular Technologist with 3 years of experience
- Cardiovascular Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
- ARRT (R)
- Associate's degree in a related field or certificate of completion for a radiology program
- 3 years of experience in hemodynamic concepts and cardiac anatomy and physiology
- Knowledge and competency in moderate sedation administration
- Knowledge of EP concepts, theory, and fluoroscopic anatomy and physiology involved in diagnostic and interventional EP procedures
- Knowledge of radiation safety and appropriate use and function of imaging equipment
- Advanced knowledge of EKG interpretation and arrhythmia recognition, analysis, and interpretation
- Cath Lab Radiology Technologist experience
Key Skills and Responsibilities
- Performs procedural setup and operates imaging, electrical, and monitoring equipment
- Interprets hemodynamic data, EKGs, and arrhythmias
- Assists with moderate sedation, sterile field preparation, and aseptic technique
- Recognizes and helps manage complications during cardiac, vascular, and EP procedures
- Communicates with patients and team members to support safety, education, and workflow
- Maintains equipment safety, troubleshooting, and digital image archiving
