Pharmacist Job Opportunity
Location
- Johnson City, New York
Job Summary
- Ensure correct medication administration, including clinical appropriateness and proper product delivery.
- Interpret and clarify physician or authorized practitioner orders/prescriptions; intervene when clinically appropriate.
- Ensure orders/prescriptions comply with professional standards, state and federal laws, and departmental policies.
- Communicate with patients for prescription counseling and education as required by law.
- Maintain accurate controlled substance documentation per regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and supervise technical staff during distributive activities.
- Prepare, supervise, and check compounded product preparations.
- Prepare and execute pharmacy-related documents and reports to meet regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Contract Length
- 12 weeks
Work Schedule
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday: Shifts between 7 AM and 9 PM (mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts)
- Saturday and Sunday: Shifts between 7 AM and 7 PM (mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts)
- Rotational shifts
Required Qualifications
- Valid Hospital Pharmacist license in New York
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 1 year of hospital pharmacist experience within the last year
- Experience with Epic
