Registered Nurse - Comprehensive Rehab Center
Location
- Peoria, Illinois
Job Type
- Clinical Nursing
- Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide professional nursing care to a group of patients using the nursing process and current nursing practices.
- Perform initial patient assessments upon admission and develop, implement, and modify individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs.
- Coordinate nursing care activities with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to achieve patient goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, nursing techniques, and self-care skills to promote wellness.
- Participate in rehabilitation rounds and team meetings.
- Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
- Demonstrate specialized knowledge and clinical skills in caring for patients with physical disabilities and chronic illnesses.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Minimum 3 years of rehabilitation nursing experience
- Rehabilitation nursing experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Education
- Required: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
