Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab - Travel

Location: Newton, New Jersey
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: Approximately 13 weeks (89 days)
Shift:

• 4 days per week, 9.5-hour shifts (7 AM - 5 PM)
• STEMI on-call requirement: 10-12 shifts per month, including 1 to 2 weekends (Friday 5 PM to Monday 7 AM), counted within the 10-12 shifts

Job Overview

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric) with appropriate care delivery.
• Provide competent clinical nursing care in the Cath Lab setting, including emergency procedures and equipment use.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing processes, patient progress, and education.
• Uphold professional practice standards, policies, and procedures, identifying opportunities for clinical and professional growth.
• Promote patient and family-centered care with professionalism, courtesy, and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification using two identifiers.
• Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics for self and patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical patient conditions, procedures, anesthesia types, and individualized care across the continuum.
• Take responsibility for prioritizing and directing patient care within the perioperative team.
• Conduct pre-operative and postoperative assessments and patient/family education regarding surgical procedures.
• Support timely completion and evaluation of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders based on surgery type, patient age, and health status.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New Jersey
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Physical Requirements

• As defined by Occupational Safety and Health standards

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• The role involves on-call responsibilities with weekend coverage.
