Location

• Neptune, New Jersey

Job Summary

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations with minimal supervision.
• Position patients and use immobilization devices.
• Select and operate radiographic equipment and technical factors based on patient needs.
• Restrict radiation exposure to unaffected areas using cones and collimators.
• Perform portable x-rays in patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency rooms.
• Identify and mark patient films correctly.
• Develop exposed x-ray films using available processing methods.
• Complete patient requisitions with necessary details.
• Maintain orderly x-ray room.
• Prepare radiopaque contrast media and assist physicians in administration.
• Perform administrative duties including scheduling, patient instruction, and record maintenance.
• Assist patients with mobility related to x-ray procedures.
• Lift at least 5 lbs., push/pull at least 10 lbs., and stand for a minimum of 6 hours daily.
• Adapt care to patient needs considering age, culture, language, and disabilities.
• Adhere to organizational competencies and standards.

Schedule

• Hours range from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Work schedule options: 5 days x 8 hours or 4 days x 10 hours
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required as needed
• No on-call or float requirements

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Radiology Technician experience, including experience within the last year

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid Radiology Technician license in New Jersey
• ARRT Certification
