Description

RN – Mother Baby

Location

  • Detroit, Michigan

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Job Summary

  • Provide leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care.
  • Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and families.
  • Communicate pertinent patient/family information effectively to the healthcare team.
  • Participate in identifying and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Michigan.
  • Maternal-Newborn nursing experience within the last year (minimum 1 year).
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Experience working with high-risk patients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).

Skills and Abilities

  • Clinical knowledge and analytical skills to develop effective nursing care plans.
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
  • Strong communication skills with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
  • Detail-oriented with good documentation skills.
  • Self-starter with curiosity and ability to ask detailed, open-ended questions.

Work Schedule

  • 36 hours per week.
  • 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
  • Every other weekend.
  • Nurse to patient ratio: 1:5.
  • Overtime is billable after 48 hours per week.
