• 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week

Job Summary

• Provide professional nursing care to orthopedic and medical/surgical patients.
• Responsible for patient care during assigned shifts using nursing processes and current standards.
• Perform initial patient assessments and develop, implement, and modify individualized plans of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation to support continuity of care.
• Ensure patient and staff safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and healthcare team members.
• Provide education to patients on wound care, mobility, medication management, self-care, and care transitions.
• Delegate and monitor healthcare team interventions.
• Manage orthopedic traction devices and surgical traction for mobility and wound care.
• Handle wound appliances including wound vacs, drains, pouches, and urological devices.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
• Minimum of 1 year of orthopedic nursing experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
