Radiologic Technologist 2 - Cardiac Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology

Work Schedule

• Days, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours per shift (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
• On-call every 3rd weekend and 1-2 weekdays per week

Job Summary

• Provide patient care in an invasive cardiology and interventional radiology lab setting.
• Assist physicians during invasive procedures.
• Administer contrast material via existing IV or venipuncture.
• Monitor patients for hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.
• Maintain sterile field and assist as scrub or monitor technician on a rotating basis.
• Perform on-call duties and float to all procedural areas as needed.
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging and physiological monitoring equipment.
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality throughout procedures.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Associate's Degree in a relevant field OR
• Certificate in Radiologic Technology

Certifications & Licensure

• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS
• Illinois IEMA Radiography License
• Radiography (R) ARRT Certification

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• Interventional Radiology Technologist experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Neuro Interventional experience
• Electrophysiology (EP) experience

Additional Information

• Must be able to work around and maintain a sterile field during procedures.
• Administer and withhold contrast and treatment as appropriate.
• Assess patients for allergies.
• Document procedures accurately and completely.
• Assist with inventory and supplies management.
