Radiation Therapist I – Oklahoma City, OK
Job Summary
- Entry-level position working under immediate to general supervision of a mentor/preceptor.
- Provides specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patients.
- Supports medical staff in diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions.
- Works in various care settings including acute inpatient, outpatient physician practices, diagnostic/urgent care centers, and remote outreach clinics.
Essential Functions
- Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders.
- Use specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment and techniques for diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures.
- Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams to achieve clinical outcomes.
- Perform operator-level quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfecting per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
- Transfer images and data to archival systems, enter technical data/findings, and prepare studies for physician reporting.
- Participate in continuing education, professional development, and research activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule
- 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Oklahoma.
- Minimum of 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
- Associate’s degree or higher.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Certification or eligibility for ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI in the relevant specialty.
