Description

Registered Nurse Cath Lab - Pediatrics

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Registered Nurse Direct Care


Job Description

Provide nursing care under general supervision to pediatric patients in a hospital setting, managing a range of health problems from simple to complex.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned group of patients and document responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments.
  • Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
  • Monitor and obtain physiological data, intervening as necessary.
  • Administer medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products.
  • Communicate care plans to patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge.
  • Make referrals for patient care needs and delegate tasks to support staff.
  • Participate in call rotation.

Schedule

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, with a rotating day off.
  • Call coverage required.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks.
