Description

Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist

Location

  • Cincinnati, Ohio

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
  • On-call coverage required:
    • Weekday call: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
    • Weekend call: 7:00 AM Saturday – 7:00 AM Monday
    • 30-minute response time for emergency cases during call shifts

Job Summary

  • Provide continuous, comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing invasive cardiology, peripheral, and angiographic procedures.
  • Perform angiographic procedures including invasive vascular treatments with a focus on optimal image quality.
  • Function as a scrub assistant during diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cath lab and angiography.
  • Maintain sterile technique, set up specialized equipment, and manage post-procedure hemostasis.
  • Ensure radiation safety for patients and staff, including proper use of protective equipment and dosimetry badges.
  • Assess patient condition, communicate changes to physicians and nursing staff, and participate in safety initiatives.
  • Provide individualized patient and family education in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Respond skillfully to emergency situations.

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Vascular Interventional Technologist, including experience within the last year.
  • Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience.
  • Experience with the Impella device.
  • Experience as a Radiology Technologist and Cath Lab Technologist.

Certifications & Licensure

  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT(R)).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
