Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Edison, New Jersey
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Contract Length: 11 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide respiratory therapy under medical direction for patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies.
- Assist with intubation and manage ventilator set-up.
- Evaluate patient needs, including disease education, testing, and consultations with healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and caregivers based on identified needs.
- Foster positive relationships with patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Regular contact with medical personnel and visitors.
- Physical requirements include lifting, pushing, and pulling a minimum of 5 lbs., and standing for at least 1 hour per day.
Work Schedule
- Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Hours per day: 12
- Hours per week: 36
- Every other weekend required
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in New Jersey
- NBRC RRT
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
