Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Location

  • Goldsboro, North Carolina

Employment Type

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • Days, Monday to Friday
  • Shift hours: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
  • 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Job Summary

  • Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in a hospital setting.
  • Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and plan patient care.
  • Perform bedside point of care testing as required.
  • Organize and prioritize care based on patient and family needs.
  • Promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment.
  • Participate in professional growth, unit goals, and performance improvement activities.
  • Use communication systems effectively to promote continuity of care.
  • Assess and anticipate discharge needs, including psychosocial and educational factors.
  • Address cultural and ethnic issues in patient care planning.
  • Stay informed on public policy and regulatory guidelines affecting healthcare.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of North Carolina.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Provider (AHA or ARC).
  • Nursing Diploma, or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of nursing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing.

  • Competence in caring for patients with complex problems, including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects.
  • Ability to assess readiness to learn and developmental levels of patients and caregivers.
  • Ability to synthesize complex assessment data and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary resources in care planning.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
  • Awareness of cost-effective care practices.
