Medical Technologist - Lab Technologist
Location: Detroit, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Afternoon (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Job Summary
Perform routine and complex analytic procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens under general supervision. Work involves manual techniques and use of laboratory instruments and information systems.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Certification at the technologist level from a nationally recognized agency such as ASCP
- Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, medical laboratory sciences, or clinical laboratory sciences
- Minimum of six months of experience in a medical laboratory setting
- Experience with Beckman Coulter equipment, preferably with AU system experience
Additional Information
- Work under general supervision performing both routine and complex laboratory analyses.
- Afternoon shift schedule, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
- Interview may be conducted via MS Teams or in person if local.
