Ultrasound Technologist (0-2 years experience) - Contract

Location

New York, NY

Job Type

Contract
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Shift: Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (7 hours per day)
Contract length: 9 weeks

Job Description

Perform or assist in ultrasound examinations.
Provide technical assistance to Radiologists.
Prepare and examine patients according to departmental procedures.
Operate, adjust, clean, and maintain ultrasound equipment.
Ensure adequate supplies are available.
Capture images onto PACS and transfer to physicians' workstations.
Assist in orientation and mentoring of new Ultrasound personnel.
May handle scheduling and transportation coordination.
Follow safety precautions to protect patients and staff from hazards.

Required Qualifications

Ultrasound Technologist with 0 years of experience.
Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year.
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology.
