Description

Registered Nurse (RN) Interventional Radiology

Location

  • Hackensack, New Jersey

Employment Type

  • Clinical

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • No weekends or holidays
  • 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Job Summary

  • Deliver nursing care based on current evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards.
  • Provide safe, individualized patient care in Interventional Radiology.
  • Perform admission assessments, IV placement, and procedure recovery.
  • Communicate ongoing patient status and care plans with healthcare team members.
  • Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
  • Document patient assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations electronically at point-of-care.
  • Educate patients and families to optimize health, wellness, and disease management.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary discharge planning to ensure safe patient transitions and continuity of care.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New Jersey
  • Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience, including experience within the last year
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience in Telemetry nursing
  • Experience in Pre-Op nursing
  • Experience in PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)
  • Experience with conscious sedation
