Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Diagnostic Cardiology

Location

  • Detroit, Michigan

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Hours per week: 40
  • Hours per day: 8

Job Description

  • Provide leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care.
  • Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and patient/family teaching.
  • Communicate pertinent patient and family information effectively to the healthcare team.
  • Participate in identifying and resolving variances from patient goals to ensure implementation of solutions.
  • Perform cardiac stress tests in the Cardio Non-invasive lab, with an expectation of completing 4-8 stress tests per shift.
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services within the assigned unit/department.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Michigan.
  • Minimum 2 years of cardiology nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
