Description
Speech Language Pathologist
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Clinical Specialist / Professional
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Outpatient hospital-based experience required; candidates with acute experience will also be considered
Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Job Summary
Under general supervision, evaluate, diagnose, and recommend treatment plans for communication disorders related to speech and language.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform evaluations of speech, hearing, and swallowing difficulties upon physician referral
- Make preliminary diagnoses and develop treatment plans
- Determine the need for individual or group therapy for each client
- Document client progress
- Assist students in clinical rotations to meet objectives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Oklahoma
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology
- Experience in an outpatient setting
