Description
Surgical Technologist
Location: Paducah, Kentucky
Contract length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM; call 1–2 nights per week and every 4th weekend
Hours: 40 per week
Overview
The Surgical Technologist serves as a primary scrub person or assistant for operative procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Surgical Technologist (7 years of experience)
- Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS
- NBSTSA or NCCT
- Completion of a Surgical Technologist program or comparable military training
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare instruments and supplies for scheduled cases and maintain the sterile field
- Assist during surgical cases by passing instruments, supporting the physician, and maintaining counts
- Perform post-case cleaning, instrument decontamination, and room turnover
- Follow hospital policies, mandatory education, and safety/competency requirements
