Echo Technologist
Location: Normal, Illinois
Employment Type: Clinical Allied Health
Shift: Day (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Perform routine and complex echocardiographic sonography imaging procedures following departmental guidelines.
- Oversee technical procedures, patient care, and workflows in the echocardiography laboratory.
- Assist physicians and sonographers in providing high-quality echocardiographic exams.
- Demonstrate acceptable imaging quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and alignment.
- Review patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness.
- Document procedures accurately and completely.
- Cross-train to other divisions of cardiovascular services.
- Coordinate patient flow and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Ultrasound.
- Minimum 3 years of healthcare experience.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) (ARDMS) OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CCI).
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
- Positive attitude with a willingness to assess and improve the work environment.
Additional Information
- On-call required 1-2 days per week.
