Echo Tech
Location
- Peoria, Illinois
Contract
- 13 weeks
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Day shift
- Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
- Start times: 6:45 AM, 7:00 AM, 7:15 AM, or 7:30 AM
Role Summary
- Performs adult echocardiography and related cardiac ultrasound studies
- Assists with exercise and non-exercise stress testing
- Assists cardiologists with transesophageal echocardiograms
- Participates in mobile echo/vascular service regionally and callback rotation
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in ultrasound
- Echo Technologist experience with 3 years of experience
- Echo Technologist experience within the last year
- ARDMS or CCI
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
Key Clinical Skills
- Two-dimensional ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels
- Doppler and M-mode techniques
- Stress echocardiography
- Pediatric echocardiograms
- Documentation and patient history review
- Troubleshooting equipment issues
- Recognition of lethal arrhythmias
