Clinical Neurophysiology Technologist I

Location: Rochester, Minnesota
Employment Type: Travel Clinical Allied
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Overview

  • Perform EEG (including on-call rotation), Evoked Potentials, Autonomic and/or Nerve Conduction Studies.
  • Responsible for patient preparation, data acquisition, and maintaining a safe testing environment.
  • Support patients in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and other inpatient settings.
  • Act as a liaison between nurses and physicians to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Mentor student technologists rotating through inpatient practice.
  • Must be highly organized, efficient, able to work independently, and adapt rapidly.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of an associate’s degree in Applied Science or related science.
  • At least 1 year of EEG Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
  • Current Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist.
  • EEG Registry or CLTM Registry.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Perform neurodiagnostic procedural testing: EEG, Evoked Potentials, Nerve Conduction Studies.
  • Monitor and maintain EEG recordings for surgical, adult, and pediatric patients.
  • Respond to seizures and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Assist with SPECT injections.
  • Provide shift reports on relevant patient information.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Support patient care and ensure effective communication within the care team.

Work Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • 8-hour shifts on Monday and Tuesday: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
  • Total hours per week: 40 hours
