Echo Technologist
Location: Urbana, Illinois
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Shift: Day
Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
Contract Length: 26 weeks
Job Description
- Perform routine and complex echocardiographic sonography imaging procedures following departmental guidelines.
- Oversee technical procedures, patient care, and workflows in the echocardiography laboratory.
- Assist physicians and sonographers in providing high-quality echocardiographic exams.
- Demonstrate acceptable imaging quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and alignment.
- Review patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness.
- Document procedures accurately and completely.
- Cross-train to other divisions of Cardiovascular Services.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Echo Technologist, including experience within the last year.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CCI).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Associate's Degree in Ultrasound.
- Proficient in echocardiographic sonography and maintaining imaging quality standards.
- Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday, day shift.
