Description

Echo Technologist

Location: Urbana, Illinois
Shift: Day, Monday–Friday
Hours: 40 per week
Contract length: 26 weeks

Overview

The Echo Technologist performs routine and complex echocardiographic sonography procedures, supports physicians and sonographers, and helps maintain patient flow and documentation quality.

Required Qualifications

  • Cardiac Sonographer with 3 years of experience
  • Cardiac Sonographer experience within the last year
  • Associate's degree in ultrasound
  • RDCS or CCI
  • BLS Certification issued by American Heart Association

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of cardiac diagnostic testing
  • Follow departmental guidelines for echocardiographic imaging procedures
  • Evaluate imaging quality, positioning, technical factors, and alignment
  • Review patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness
  • Document accurately and completely
  • Cross-train to other divisions of cardiovascular services
