Registered Nurse Dialysis

Location

• State: Michigan
• City: Livonia
• May be required to work at various clinic locations within the region.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week
• Typical shift hours: 8:00 AM – 7:30 PM (exact shift hours to be discussed during interview)
• Overtime is billable after 48 hours per week

Job Summary

• Provide nursing care to dialysis patients, including admission and ongoing assessments using physical, psychosocial, and diagnostic data.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans addressing complex needs.
• Administer and monitor dialysis therapy and medications according to policy.
• Perform blood-drawing procedures and document all nursing care and patient responses accurately.
• Serve as Charge Nurse when assigned, overseeing care provided by LPNs and non-licensed technical personnel.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with hospital departments and external agencies.
• Participate in patient education, rehabilitation, and modality education.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment following infection control policies.
• Demonstrate leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Uphold patient dignity, respect, and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
• Actively participate in ongoing learning and team development.

Patient Load

• May see up to 36 patients per day in the office setting (not all patients will be seen by the RN).

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum of 2 years of dialysis nursing experience, with dialysis experience within the last year.
• Experience in Charge Nurse roles.
