Location

Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (5x8 shift)
- 40 hours per week
Job Summary
- Plan and deliver nutritional care to patients following current clinical standards.
- Perform nutritional assessments and screenings for inpatients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams including physicians and nurse practitioners.
- Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and families.
- Participate in medical and discharge rounds as needed.
- Assist with audits and quality improvement activities.
- Support orientation and training of new staff.
- Maintain professional relationships with hospital staff and community.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
- Completion of an ACEND-accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD).
Certifications & Licensure
- Completion of an ACEND-accredited Dietetic Internship (DI) with at least 1,000 supervised practice hours.
- Current Registered Dietitian status by passing the national exam administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Maintain registration with 15 continuing education credits annually.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity or experience with menu management software and electronic medical record systems (e.g., CBORD, Meditech).
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and multitask.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, lift, bend, and perform repetitive motions as needed.
