Description
Neurodiagnostic Tech Level 1
Location: Edison, New Jersey
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Shift: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (5 days a week, 8 hours per day)
Schedule: Weekends and holidays as needed; on-call required
Contract Length: 22 weeks
Job Description
- Perform standard and complex neurodiagnostic procedures with moderate supervision according to established standards and practices.
- Provide technical assistance and training to students.
- Complete all necessary documentation for departmental records and patient procedures.
- Support departmental functions, goals, and objectives, including development of new programs involving the Neurodiagnostic Lab and Epilepsy Unit.
- Patient population includes EMU, ICU, pediatric, and adult patients.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of EEG technologist experience within the last year.
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient EEG settings.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Eligible for or holding ABRET EEG certification.
