Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Care Unit (CCU)

Job Summary
- Provide professional nursing care to a designated group of patients using the nursing process.
- Perform initial patient assessments and develop, implement, and modify individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Respond to life-saving situations following nursing standards and protocols.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment such as cardiac monitors, ventilators, and oxygen pumps.
- Work with ventilated patients to promote early mobility.
- Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and reporting hazards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members, including meaningful hourly rounding and bedside reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Minimum 3 years of Coronary Care Unit (CCU) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
