Job Title
Ultrasound Technologist (0-2 years experience) – Contract
Location
Long Island City, New York
Job Type
Contract, Full-time (40 hours/week)
Shift: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Job Description
- Perform or assist in ultrasound examinations and provide technical assistance to Radiologists.
- Prepare and examine patients according to established departmental procedures.
- Operate, adjust, clean, and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring patient and personnel safety.
- Capture images onto PACS and transfer to physicians' workstations.
- Assist with orientation and mentoring of new Ultrasound personnel.
- Manage scheduling, answer phones, and may coordinate patient transportation.
- Maintain adequate supplies for ultrasound procedures.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with experience within the last year.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology.
