Description
Occupational Therapist
Location: Conroe, Texas (Outpatient Clinic)
Employment Type: Travel Clinical Allied
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Work Schedule: Mostly 10 or 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday (approximately 36 hours per week)
Setting: Outpatient clinic with some remote access allowed for documentation
Job Description
- Plan, evaluate, organize, and implement Occupational Therapy treatment programs for patients from birth through adulthood.
- Complete patient evaluations and reassessments following departmental guidelines.
- Develop individualized plans of care with measurable short- and long-term goals in collaboration with patients and families.
- Perform patient care within scope of training and responsibilities, demonstrating advanced clinical competencies.
- Manage schedule to meet productivity expectations.
- Collaborate and communicate with interdisciplinary care team members.
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and recommend adaptive equipment or termination of treatment as appropriate.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Texas.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or completion of a one-year residency in pediatric, women’s health, orthopedics, or sports medicine.
- Minimum of 2 years of Occupational Therapist experience.
- Occupational Therapist experience within the last year.
- Experience working with pediatric patients.
Additional Information
- This position is to cover multiple Family Medical Leaves (FMLs).
- Clinical advancement candidates should have demonstrated exceptional performance in previous evaluations.
- Tasks require focused, methodical clinical judgment applying established clinical principles.
Specialty Experience Requirement
- 2 years pediatric or sports medicine clinical experience (or 1 year residency in these areas).
