Description
Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (ED Main)
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Employment Type: Clinical Nursing
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide specialized nursing care using knowledge from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on a culturally and age-specific model.
- Adhere to the American Nursing Association (ANA) code of ethics and Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
- Work in a fast-paced, high-acuity adult cardiac care and complex internal medicine emergency department with an all-RN nursing staff.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including emergency medicine physicians, trauma surgeons, physician assistants, and social workers.
- Utilize excellent critical thinking skills in a high-pressure environment.
Schedule
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation
- Total 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with recent ED experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
