Description

Ultrasound Technologist

Overview

Contract length: 9 weeks
Location: New York, New York
Shift: Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
Hours per week: 37.5

Required Qualifications

Ultrasound Technologist (2 years of experience)
Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
ARDMS
ARRT
Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
Experience working with High Risk patients
OB Technician experience

Key Responsibilities

Perform or assist with ultrasound examinations
Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations
Operate, clean, and make minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment
Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure supplies are available
Assist with orientation and mentoring of new Ultrasound personnel
Capture images onto PACS and transfer them to physicians’ workstations
Answer telephones, schedule examinations, and initiate transportation when needed

Skills and Knowledge

Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Knowledge of office and administrative practices
Skill in using personal computers and software
Problem-solving and decision-making ability
Strong written and oral communication skills
Attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion
