RN Oncology - Pediatrics

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Oklahoma
Oncology (1 year of experience)
Oncology experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
PALS issued by American Heart Association
APHON Chemotherapy
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Pediatric Hematology / Oncology experience

Preferred Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from a Board Approved Program

Preferred Experience

6 months of Level I trauma experience

Role Overview

Provides nursing care to hospitalized patients with conditions ranging from simple to complex
Manages an assigned group of patients
Documents patient responses and changes in physician orders
Assists with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatment
Monitors patient data and intervenes when necessary
Administers medications, IV infusions, and blood products
Communicates care plans and discharge information to patients and families
Coordinates referrals and delegates tasks to support staff
