Surgical Tech - Travel

Location: Pompton Plains, New Jersey

Job Description

• Assist in the care of surgical patients by handling instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures.
• Understand the surgical procedure and anticipate the surgeon’s needs.
• Ensure quality patient care and maintain the sterile field throughout the operation.
• Follow instructions from Physicians and RNs, adhering to established operating room policies.
• Maintain a safe environment by practicing Standard Precautions and complying with hospital and regulatory policies.
• Perform additional duties when not in surgery, including:

  • Taking patient vitals
  • Adult venipuncture
  • Assisting labor and delivery staff with post-delivery patient cleanup
  • Restocking and setting up patient rooms

Schedule & Contract

• Shift: Day shift (AM)
• Hours: 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 8 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Minimum of 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• High School Graduate or GED
• Labor & Delivery room experience
• OB Technician experience
