Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Location: Neptune, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Clinical
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule:

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week)
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays as needed
• No on-call or float requirements

Job Summary

• Provide specialized nursing care in the Emergency Department (ED) for patients of all ages.
• Handle a variety of trauma and emergency situations requiring quick, decisive actions.
• Assess incoming patients with physical and mental health conditions, prioritizing injuries and medical needs.
• Formulate effective nursing care plans using clinical knowledge and analytical skills.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience in an Emergency Department (ED)
• Emergency Department experience within the last year
• Certifications:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by the American Heart Association
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

• Effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
