Description
Operating Room Technician
Location
Johnson City, New York
Contract
13 weeks
Schedule
- Evening shift
- 40 hours per week
- Either 5 eight-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts
- Rotating call duty
Role Summary
- Supports surgical procedures by maintaining sterile technique, assisting the surgeon, managing instruments and supplies, and helping maintain a safe operating room environment.
- Participates in patient care and safety, including case setup, counts, specimen handling, and room turnover.
Required Qualifications
- Surgical Technologist (1 year of experience)
- Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
- NBSTSA or CST
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- A high school diploma or its equivalent is required.
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Experience
- Previous operating room experience
- Previous Surgical Technologist experience
