Description
ICU Registered Nurse
Location
Olney, Illinois
Contract
13 weeks
Schedule
Night shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for ICU patients using the nursing process
- Complete patient assessments, develop care plans, and update them as patient needs change
- Document nursing care accurately and maintain communication with the healthcare team
- Support patient and staff safety by reporting or correcting hazards and incidents
- Assist with ventilated patients, intubation, central line insertions, and arterial line insertion and care
- Delegate tasks to nursing assistants and validate completion of assigned work
- Use critical thinking and nursing judgment to respond to changes in patient condition
