Description

Hospice RN

Overview

Location: Ames, Iowa
Contract length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with some night and weekend on-call coverage
Work setting: Hospice nursing

Role Summary

Provides direct care to hospice patients and supportive support to families
Manages interdisciplinary care and patient clinical records
Supports care planning, symptom management, patient/family education, and coordination with the care team

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Iowa
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Driver's License
1 year of experience as an RN in oncology
1 year of experience as an RN in home health
Hospice (1 year of experience)
Hospice experience within the last year

Additional Details

School internships and clinical hours may be considered as experience in individual cases
60-mile travel radius from the branch
HCHB preferred
