Description

RN Oncology Outpatient

Overview

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Specialty: Outpatient oncology infusion
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Shift: Days
Hours: 40 per week
Contract length: 26 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ONS/ONCC
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Oncology (2 years of experience)
Oncology experience within the last year
Experience in an outpatient setting
Infusion experience

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care using the nursing process in a hospital setting
Coordinate and deliver patient care
Perform bedside point-of-care testing as needed
Support patient and family education and emotional support
Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions, blood products, IV iron, fluids, electrolytes, port lab draws, and injections
