Registered Dietician

Job Overview

Location: Brooklyn, New York
Setting: Non-Acute, Allied
Contract length: 14 weeks
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, 7 hours per day

Role Summary

Screens and assesses patients’ nutritional needs and status
Interviews patients and/or families about food habits and preferences
Interprets laboratory, physical, and social data for nutrition care
Provides nutrition education and documents diet instructions and patient understanding
Consults with physicians on appropriate diet modifications
Monitors food/drug interactions and records them in the education section
Modifies patient menus as needed

Required Qualifications

RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (1 year of experience)
RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist experience within the last year
Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition

Preferred Qualifications

2 years of experience
Master’s degree
AHA BLS
