Description

Registered Nurse

Location: Urbana, Illinois
Specialty: Surgical nursing

Overview

Provides post-operative care for a complex surgical population, including care for newly tracheostomies, complex wound management, and new ostomies. Works collaboratively with residency services.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Med Surg (1 year of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience

Key Responsibilities

Complete patient assessments and develop plans of care
Implement and evaluate nursing interventions and patient care procedures
Maintain accurate nursing documentation
Support patient and employee safety by reporting or correcting hazards and incidents
Provide patient and family education related to ostomy care
