Location

• Peoria, Illinois

Schedule

• Day shift
• 40 hours per week
• Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
• Start times vary between 6:45 AM and 7:30 AM

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Perform adult echocardiography studies of the heart and great vessels
• Assist with exercise and non-exercise stress testing
• Assist with transesophageal echocardiograms and mobile echo/vascular services
• Participate in callback rotation

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in ultrasound
• Echo Technologist (3 years of experience)
• Echo Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International in Echocardiography

Key Clinical Skills

• Two-dimensional ultrasound studies
• Doppler techniques
• M-mode technique
• Contrast echocardiography
• Stress echocardiography
• Pediatric echocardiograms
• EKG abnormality and arrhythmia recognition
• Lethal arrhythmia recognition
• Quarterly competency in stress lab, holter monitoring, and event monitoring

Additional Notes

• The role includes documentation, patient assessment, and communication with the cardiologist
• Equipment troubleshooting and reporting failures are part of the role
