Neurodiagnostic Technologist II
Location
Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Contract
13 weeks
Schedule
- Variable shift
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a program in Neurophysiology
- EEG Technologist experience within the last year
- 1 year of experience as an EEG Technologist
- Polysomnographer experience
- R. EEG T. or CLTM or R. EP T. or CNIM or RPSGT or RST
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic testing including EEG, EMG, NCV, sensory evoked potentials, and polysomnographic testing
- Set up rooms and equipment in hospital rooms, operating rooms, or clinics
- Calibrate and maintain equipment
- Read and score neurodiagnostic and polysomnographic tests
- Take patient histories
- Instruct patients and families on test preparation, pre-test interviews, and follow-up appointments
- Provide instruction and guidance to other technologists in the Neurodiagnostic and/or Sleep Disorders Lab
