Description

RN UP - ED

Overview

Location: Urbana, Illinois
Specialty: Emergency Department nursing
Employment type: Clinical nursing
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day
Hours: 36 per week
Schedule notes: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM; 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule period; 2-week nights rotation required for all travelers; no block scheduling

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
ED - Emergency Department (3 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
PALS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Education

ASN required
BSN preferred

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care for assigned patients using the nursing process
Complete patient assessments and develop care plans
Implement and adjust nursing interventions and care plans based on ongoing evaluation
Maintain accurate nursing documentation and patient records
Support patient and staff safety by addressing and reporting safety hazards
Communicate and collaborate with staff, patients, families, and providers
Contribute to peer feedback and professional development
