Occupational Therapist
Location
- The Woodlands, Texas
Assignment Details
- Outpatient clinic, onsite
- Remote access available for catching up on notes if able
- Likely schedule: 10- or 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
- Contract length: 9 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Texas
- Occupational Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
- 2 years of pediatric, women's health, orthopedics, or sports medicine clinical experience, or 1 year of pediatric, women's health, orthopedics, or sports medicine residency
Preferred Experience
- Pediatric experience in an outpatient setting
Role Responsibilities
- Plan, evaluate, organize, and implement occupational therapy treatment programs for patients from infancy through adulthood
- Complete evaluations and reassessments
- Develop individualized plans of care and measurable goals with patients and families
- Coordinate treatment with the interdisciplinary care team
- Monitor patient response to treatment
- Recommend adaptive equipment and treatment termination when appropriate
- Communicate with patients, families, therapy management, department staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
