Neurodiagnostic/EEG Tech
Location
- Louisville, Kentucky
Schedule
- Night shift
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
- Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- EEG Technologist (2 years of experience)
- EEG Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- EMU (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit) experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered EEG Technologist credential
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine, prolonged routine, long-term continuous, outpatient event, and private VEEG EEG studies
- Use the 10-20 system for electrode placement
- Perform inpatient VEEG event monitoring and EMU monitoring
- Evaluate patients during clinical events and notify physicians or nurses as needed
- Monitor patients during ictal SPECT and assist with radiotracer injection timing
- Perform EEGs during WADA procedures and intracarotid EEG recording
- Perform intra-operative and pre-operative EEG brain mapping
- Support patient safety, electrical safety, infection control, and ASET standards
- Provide patient education and on-the-job training as needed
- Perform evoked potentials and SSEP
